Quoted

  • Copy file to the box and unzip it.
  • Connect to the box with telnet (f.e. putty) and change to directory
  • Make ofgwrite executable: chmod 755 ofgwrite
  • Start flash: ./ofgwrite -r -k <path to etxx00 directory>

Hello,

Look at what I made, that does not work

bin dev hdd lib mnt run share tmp var

boot etc home media proc sbin sys usr

root@et9x00:/# cd tmp/

root@et9x00:/var/volatile/tmp# ls

camd.socket ecm0.info ofgwrite

ecm.info hotplug.socket smb.log

root@et9x00:/var/volatile/tmp# chmod 777 ofgwrite/

root@et9x00:/var/volatile/tmp# ./ofgwrite

-sh: ./ofgwrite: Permission denied

root@et9x00:/var/volatile/tmp# ./ofgwrite -n -k

Please try this

cd /tmp
chmod 755 ofgwrite
ls -la ofgwrite
Output should be similar to this:

Source code

1
2
root@et9x00:/var/volatile/tmp# ls -la ofgwrite
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 747396 Dec 22 19:25 ofgwrite

(important are the 3 x at the beginning)

Then execute ofgwrite
./ofgwrite

The unpacked image should be on a usb stick or harddisk. If your image is on the harddisk you can e.g. flash then with
./ofgwrite /hdd/et9x00/

Your ofgwrite is no file/binary. It's a directory. Please make a
ls -la /tmp/ofgwrite/
Where did you get the files?

What image do you use?

I have to download the files ofgwrite betacentauri and a Openpli image, these two directory are in my receiver in the tmp directory.

Did you unrar/unzip the image files? At first make sure all files are at the right place.

No that don't work. It's the source code and not the binary.

Again what image do you use?
In OpenATV, OpenXTA ofgwrite is installed by default. And if you use a not very old version of openpli you can download it from the feeds:
opkg update
opkg install ofgwrite

I use the source code, I make download the binary code

Download attached file. Copy it to /tmp on your box. Then execute the following:

Source code

1
2
3
cd /tmp
unzip ofgwrite_v2.3.2.zip
chmod 755 ofgwrite

Then you can flash the image with

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
./ofgwrite <path to image folder>
so e.g.
./ofgwrite /media/hdd/et9x00/
or
./ofgwrite /tmp/et9x00/
betacentauri has attached the following file:

Just download OpenXTA image and flash it in the same way. You don't have to delete Openpli before.
